EDC Orlando. If you have been there, you can call yourself lucky. With a killer line-up this was the place to be. Let me just name a few names, which were spread over two days: Andy C, Calvin Harris, Chuckie, Eric Prydz, Ferry Corsten, Flux Pavilion, Laidback Luke, Paul van Dyk, Tiësto, Green Velvet & Claude VonStroke, Kaskade, Quintino, and more. As happens nowadays, most artists do record their sets, and one of those artists who’s set was recorded, was Funtcase. He destroyed eardrums on the 6th of November, and caused small earthquakes in Orlando. If you were there, you (and thousands of others) were the cause of those earthquakes.

Funtcase has been on top of everything since he emerged out of nowhere, and took the Dubstep world by storm. His contribution to this growing scene has been immense, and his records are well respected by many. Back in 2010 I first heard ‘So Vexed’, and still to this day it’s one of the finest Dubstep tracks ever made. That track made me aware of Funtcase, and when I found this liveset online, I knew I was going to hear something so filthy, so dark, it was going to entertain me for as long as the liveset lasts.

Seeing as Funtcase is a very busy man, someone else composed the tracklist to this mighty liveset. It’s not complete, so if you know your Dubstep/DnB and you know the ID-tracks, post them underneath the review and I will add them to the tracklist!

If you are a true Dubstep/DnB fan, it will be easy for you to come up with the original track names and artist names for the IDless tracks.

During the first bit of the set he plays the darkest but nicest Dubstep tracks money can buy. Filth penetrates your skull from the first second, and it’s a pleasant feeling. This set should be played out loud, but not too damn loud, because throughouut the set you hear people shouting out that this is recorded ‘at EDC Orlando’, and when I first played this out loud (and when I say loud I do mean loud), it scared the crap out of me. Be prepared to be scared.

The tracks are all good! Serious filth, just the way I like it. The people at EDC Orlando had a brilliant time, according to the amount of screams you hear throughout Funtcase’s set. They go bezerk, and if I was there, I would have done the same thing. Yes, Dubstep ain’t dead, it has never been dead at all. Want proof? Listen to this mighty fine liveset and you will know why it ain’t dead.

I don’t hear Dubstep mixes too often, but when I do, it always brings a smile on my face and it causes me to moshpit with no-one in my living room. This is the finest set of 2015 so far. Can anything beat this amount of filth?
