Dave Clarke is an institution. He’s a legend, and he bloody well knows it. He has been in the game for many years, and he’s seen the world at least 10 times over. He’s played at the biggest events all over the globe, and an event without him playing is like Christmas without Santa Claus. He needs to be there, to get the crowd going. This year at Mysteryland he had his own area (rightly so), in which he played alongside his DJ friends: Carl Craig & Stacey Pullen, Gary Beck, Green Velvet, Joran van Pol, Rebekah, Surgeon & Lady Starlight, and ofcourse he played too! His set, which was an hour and 45 minutes long, can now be found on Soundcloud for free!

Mysteryland without Dave Clarke isn’t Mysteryland. The King of Techno has got to be there, and he was this year. As I said before, you can find his set on Soundcloud, and I urge you to go there, download this beauty, and let this Techno set dominate your Sunday. If you were there at Mysteryland, it’s time for you to reminisce. I sadly wasn’t there, but after reading the reviews afterwards, it turned out to be yet another succesful event. Ofcourse, Dave Clarke was part of it, he’s partly responsible for making it awesome!

How awesome is this??? What a wicked tracklist, and if you’ve already listened to this mix, or were there live, you know this will blow your mind away! This Sunday will become an amazing one, once you’ve pressed play!

Such a diverse tracklist, not only focussed on one artist! This only has got one Dave Clarke track in it, the rest is done by other artists. And the genres he plays are diverse: not just Techno. Diversity is key. From Oldskool Rave to Techno to Acid House. This man really knows how to make a party awesome!

This is not the first time I have heard a Dave Clarke mix, and surely won’t be the last. This man never disappoints. A true legend, the King of Techno. He knows what to play, how to play, to get everything right. He even throws in some scratching. What else would you expect? A crowd pleaser. That’s what he is. And quite down to Earth. Even though he’s God, he’s like us! But he knows a bit more about music, especially Techno.

A masterful set. 01:45 was too damn short. This could have go on for hours and hours. Dave Clarke, you sir, have rocked Mysteryland!

The world’s most idiotic and passionate DJ has uploaded yet another free mix for us all to enjoy. You know who I am talking about, it’s the one and only Mark EG! Who else is as idiotic as he is? He has done everything on God’s given Earth, and if you had the opportunity to see him live, you must have had the best night of your life. You will never see him standing behind the decks all dull and unimpressed. With Mark EG the party is always kicking. He knows how to spice things up, and not only by playing the finest tunes, but doing the craziest stunts imaginable.

This year Mark EG played at an event called Symmetry Festival. Never heard of it, but come to think of it, I am not a walking Wikipedia. I know a lot, but not each and every party on Earth. Anyway, he played at this event, and you can find his set online now. It’s a bloody free set from the master of Techno, the king of the Lunatic, the man who we all love. What more is there to say? It’s a bloody wicked mix, quite entertaining and also quite dark. Could have easily been his alter ego playing this set. The Anxious, that’s the name I was looking for!

A tracklist was kindly provided by the master himself!

01. DJ Surgelses – The Force Of Human Kind
02. Tim Vinek – The Speculative Debate
03. Drafted – Escluded
04. Juan Trujillo – Distortion
05. Juan Trujillo – Dstraction
06. SLV – Transition
07. DJ Ogi – T800
08. Israel Toledo – Cold, Undertaker, Pending
09. DJ Ogi – Extraterrestrial
10. i1 Ambivalent – Face The Wall
11. DJ Ogi – Crazy Beat (i1 Ambivalent Remix)
12. 3Phazegenerator – Juxtaposition

The tracklist is short, but the mix is tight! As good as you would expect it to be. It’s bloody Mark EG!

Mark EG has selected the finest Techno tunes by artists I’ve never heard of before. But it’s not the name that should count, it’s the power that these tracks generate. The music keeps on coming our way, non stop music (for an hour). The tracks are all good, very sexy Techno.

Mark EG, despite of his stupidity, he knows what he’s doing. He’s been in the game for so long, he needs no introduction, he is a well established name. We shouldn’t anything bad from this man, he only creates wonderful mixes/livesets. With age comes experience, and he’s got a lot of experience. You can hear it when you listen to this liveset.

Banging tunes. Wonderfully mixed together. Mark EG. No more words needed to express the awesome-ness of this liveset. Download this, and go nuts.

On the 19th, 20th and 21st of June there was really one place to be at, and that was at the EDC in Las Vegas. As many have been there and witnessed the madness, slowely you will find livesets on Soundcloud/Mixcloud from the DJs who performed there. And as usual, the artist list is immense! If I had to type the whole bloody thing, I would still be typing next wednesday. Let me name just a few, and I do mean a few, because the list is seriously long: Kaskade, Steve Angello, Cosmic Gate, Armin van Buuren, Isaac, Fatboy Slim, EZ, Jazzy Jeff, Afrojack, Technoboy, Moby, Flux Pavilion, Dash Berlin, and the list goes on and on. If you were there, you were experiencing one amazing party. You must have had the time of your life. One of the first sets to appear on my timeline was a set by UMEK, the legendary DJ from Slovenia.

This DJ doesn’t need an introduction. Basically, if you appear on an EDC flyer, you have made it as a DJ, and UMEK is one of those DJs who should not be introduced, because we all know him already. He has won several awards for being the ‘Best Techno DJ’, he’s the man behind Consumer Recreation, 1605 and Recycled Loops, and he’s been in the game since 1993. Enough information for you there. His ‘Essential Mix’ has never left my phone since it was uploaded a long time ago, and it still makes me move whenever I hear it. This man lives, breathes and basically IS Techno. Guess what kind of music he plays at the EDC? You’re right, Techno. He’s the King of Techno, and the set is magical.

The tracklist was added, which is always a bonus. You need to look at this, because it will blow your mind away. The tracks are good, the mixing is excellent, and the result is you regretting not buying tickets for the EDC. You should have been there, to see whoever you wanted to see, but only one name should be on your wishlist: UMEK.

01. Mladen Tomic – Under The Fool Moon (Original Mix)
02. Raul Mezcolanza, George Privatti, Guille Placencia – Zozzy (Original Stick)
03. DJ Fronter – Gangster (Original Mix)
04. DJ Fronter – Move Up (Original Mix)
05. Wendepunkt – Knobs (Original Mix)
06. Click Box – Opening Up (ANNA Remix)
07. Juan Ddd, Celic – Amnesia (Dub Mix)
08. VAM – Bleed (Original Mix)
09. Fran Lk, Rafa Ortiz – Fat Wreck (Original Mix)
10. Mark Broom – Involver (Original Mix)
11. Andres Campo – Grey (Original Mix)
12. Elay Lazutkin – Magnetizm (Raffaele Rizzi Remix)
13. Weska – Black Boots (Original Mix)
14. Kardinal, Lowkey – Kuasar (Original Mix)
15. Alba Patera – Magntosphere (Original Mix)
16. Dosem – Dilemma (Original Mix)

This is an amazing mix. Don’t look any further, you have found one of the most epic mixes of 2015! If you were there at the EDC and you’ve seen UMEK, you saw the master at work. Absolutely amazing liveset, it has to be said.

A flawless set. The master was definately at work, doing what he does best. The result is one beautifully made liveset, no errors of any sort. 16 amazing and breathtakingly beautiful tracks, carefully selected and mixed by UMEK, what else do we want?

16 tracks in one mix, and if I’m honest, I can’t pick a favourite. I simply can’t, because they are all solid. A fine selection of tracks, mr UMEK. If this doesn’t or hasn’t made you more, nothing will. You ain’t Techno if this ain’t your cup of tea.

UMEK is a boss. I think I said enough there. This man doesn’t need an introduction, nor does this mix. Download this right now, put it on your mobile device, plug in your headphones and crank the volume up, to the max. Let UMEK’s set destroy your eardrums. For once it will be a pleasure to play music out loud!

Dave Clarke is back with a brand new liveset, which you can find on his Soundcloud page. It’s filled with hours of good music, but I chose to mix, seeing as it is his most recent one. Recorded on King’s Day, celebrated in the Netherlands on the 26th of April 2014, but this party was held on the 25th in the Melkweg in Amsterdam. With an impressive line-up, Dave Clarke’s event took over the city of Amsterdam. Let me just name a few artist: Josh Wink, Mike Dehnert, Estroe, Shifted, Nuno dos Santos, and more. And let’s not forget the Baron of Techno, mr Clarke. You might think the name is made up by myself, or anyone else, taking the mick out of the legend, but many people do agree that he’s the Baron, no one can compete with Dave Clarke.

On King’s Day, we (the Dutch) celebrate the King’s birthday, even though it wasn’t his birthday. It’s quite complicated, and I won’t bother you with useless fact, if you are interested, just go to Wikipedia and find it out yourself. Or ask Dave Clarke, he’s half Dutch too! Seeing as he was born in the U.K., he does spend a lot of time in the Netherlands, partying and working a lot. He’s addicted to the Dutch crowd, I reckon. But let’s not forget, the Baron of Techno isn’t just a title the Dutch gave him: the world acknowledges his strength and power as a DJ and producer, and to this day he has played all over the world, playing the best Techno music to whoever is in front of him. He’s the Baron, and for a good reason!

At the Melkweg in Amsterdam he destroyed speakers. He must have, because the music in this mix is so good, and spot on! He always delivers, never disappoints. From the first second to the last the pace is ongoing, steady, and never dull. He has given the Dutch crowd a night they will never forget, and I’m gutted to say that I wasn’t there. I wish I could see the man anytime soon, I do need a huge dosage of Techno. If you are like me, and you haven’t booked a ticket to a Techno event, Dave Clarke’s Soundcloud page could be your drug. Hours of Techno, giving you reasons why you should go out and dance until the break of dawn.

My God, this set is awesome! Jam packed with good music, from different styles and different eras. Don’t expect only new Techno, but expect the unexpected too! From Techno to Acid House, this man has the power to change your ordinary night into a night you will remember, a night you will tell your grandchildren about when you are 80! Here’s the tracklist for those who were in the Melkweg, and if you weren’t, this might persuade you to adore the legend, bow to him, and give yourself to him. The Baron of Techno… more like the Techno GOD.

Now, this is just awesome. Awesome from the start. And if you have listened to this liveset already, you know why he has earned the title ‘Baron of Techno’. My God, this is good.

After hearing it for the first time, I stopped halfway through, to replay one track again and again. It’s ‘Aaibaarheid’ by Tachini. I’ve never heard a track this good before! This literally grabbed me, and made me dance in my house like a monkey on acid! True story! But let’s not underestimate the other tracks in this liveset: they all seem to make you want to dance until your feet won’t carry you anymore.

Dave Clarke has done it again. A wonderful liveset, with a few really tiny errors. But who am I? I’m not a legend. I can’t even mix. I can write, sort of. If you were in Amsterdam on the 25th of April, you must have had a brilliant night out. If you weren’t, make sure you download this badboy, check if Dave Clarke is playing near where you live, and go out! Save all your money, and go mad! If there’s one DJ who can do that, it’s Dave Clarke.

Madness. I’ve got no other words to express myself. This is just pure madness.
