In 2014 a massive event took place (which takes place every year to be honest), and the name of the event is Q-Base. You must have heard from it, and if you haven’t, you are simply not into anything Hard when it comes to music. As I’m on a quest lately to find some nice older sets, I think I found the perfect one, and the focus during this mix is Millennium Hardcore, and that’s exactly the kind of Hardcore I like. The set was recorded at Q-Base, and the DJ in question is Predator.

He wasn’t the only one at Q-Base, a whole list of artists played there, but let’s focus at just one area: the Ghosttown area. They had Bass-D, Catscan, Dr. Rude, Leviathan, The Masochist, and more. A decent line-up. If that didn’t get you excited, nothing will. The hour that Predator played was nicely recorded, and we can listen to it now via Soundcloud. And I advise you to have a listen, because it’s an epic set, with thriller anthems! Maybe forgotten, but never old. Once these tunes are played, the crowd goes ape, including yours truly. This is the best era when it comes to Hardcore, the quality was superb!

Wow! These are truly amazing tracks! How can we compete with tunes like these? You simply can’t. I think many people and youngsters underestimate the tunes, how powerful they were. Millennium Hardcore as a title is an understatement, it’s more than just a period, it’s what made Hardcore even better than it was before.

DJ Predator’s set is brilliant, loving the vibes, loving the selection of tunes. They are rough, tough, and yet beautiful. They keep me going. The beats, basses and melodies were more on point, they made the tunes so good, they have become timeless anthems.

Which tune is the best in this set? Too many, I simply can’t choose. I like ‘Drunk With A Gun’, ‘Payback’,’Domination’, ‘Welcome Down’, ‘How Long’… basically the whole list.

If you were looking for a good liveset, focussed on Millennium Hardcore, this set is what you want, and definately need. Maybe tiny cross fading errors, but that’s okay, you can still get the gist!

If this doesn’t improve your Sunday, and you don’t like this at all, you ain’t Hardcore!
