The festival season has started a long time ago, and judging the weather it will keep us all entertained for a while. The parties keep on coming, and for the majority of us it’s a good thing: break the spell and go dance the night (or day, depending on the actual event, when it takes place). Loose yourself for a couple of hours, before you go back to reality. One of those events I would really love to go to, is Harmony of Hardcore. And this year it was held on the 19th of May. And the response has been phenomenal! With a ridicilously looking line-up, that response would be obvious!
The main names on the flyer were: Miss K8, Partyraiser, Dr. Peacock, Paul Elstak, Drokz, Nosferatu, The Sickest Squad, Guerrillas, Destructive Tendencies, Promo, N-Vitral, Deadly Guns, Lady Dammage, Noize Suppressor, Sefa, Dana, Tommyknocker, D-Fence, Angernoizer, Noisekick and 130 more artists! Now that’s Hardcore paradise. You know what to do to check the whole line-up: get searching on our friend Google. But for now let’s focus on one of the promo mixes my Innovative, who played at the Millennium Dome section amongst literally the biggest names in the game!
Sadly it’s too late for me to promote the event, but we still got the music! Anyone interested in the tracklist?
01. Promo – Emotions Over Anger
02. Endymion – Tetragrammation
03. Promo – Counter Attack
04. Tommyknocker – The Aftermath

07. Lancinhouse meets The Stunned Guys – Atmosfera

Yeah! Yeah! YEAH! Millennium Hardcore still rocks the hardest. The newskool stuff from around 2000 is still amazing, and is to me the coolest decade of Hardcore. And Innovative’s mix contains the finest records from that era.
In all fairness, they’ve selected a lot of well known records. Basically every Millennium mix has got one of these records in there. At least one DJ Promo record. He dominated around the Millennium. And there’s a good reason for it. But in this mix it’s not his record that blew me away, it was the one made by Nosferatu, ‘The Desolate One’. In all fairness, I have not heard this one before, and it’s a dancefloor smasher. And kind of underrated, seeing as I have not heard this one before in any other Millennium mix.
Credit where credit is due. A short but extremely hard and cool Hardcore mix. If they played like this at Harmony of Hardcore, the crowd must have experienced something truly great!
You need a reason to listen to this mix? There are at least 13 reasons why! Go and check this mix out!
