C-Kay, a well known name in the UK Hardcore industry, uploaded a freshly made Futureworld mix 2 days ago onto Soundcloud. Futureworld is one of the biggest labels in the industry, and C-Kay decided to fabricate a classic FW mix, which contains the finest tunes from the label. The result is one amazing mix, with tracks from only the finest artists the label has. Let me name a few artists, and you will know immediately that this mix is going to be dope: Darren Styles, Jakka-B, Gammer, Modulate & Petruccio, Breeze, Re-Con. Need more names?

Futureworld is one mighty fine label, and has released many dancefloor smashers over the years. Sadly they haven’t updated their website, but thankfully they keep releasing awesome music. The label represents only the finest music in the game, and C-Kay’s mix showcases it perfectly. As you all know, C-Kay is one of the artists signed to the mighty label, and if you have heard any of his mixes before, you know you are in for a treat. After listening to this mix I came to one conclusion: this mix is tight, very tight. Good tracks, mixed well. The size is one thing we might want to discuss, because if you want to download this mix, you need some room on your computer/portable music player. 594 MB? Crikey, I need to create some space before I can put this on my phone! But this will go on my phone and stay on it forever and ever (and a bit longer).

01. Re-Con – Loki’s Theme
02. Darren Styles & Re-Con – Sober
03. Mark Breeze – Rise Again
04. Modulate feat MC Reynolds – Still Breathing
05. Dougal & Gammer – Mix Your Sex
06. Petruccio feat MC Whizzkid – Sick
07. Styles & Breeze – Sonic 2010
08. Petruccio & Modulate feat Mark Slammer – High On You
09. Darren Styles – Xfer
10. Tyl3r & Reynolds – Dive In
11. Tyl3r feat MC Static – Fight

13. Modulate – Re-Loop
14. Dougal & Gammer – Float Away
15. Jakka-B – Jump UP
16. Gammer & Michael Scout – Bye Bye

See, I told you the tracklist was amazing! Crikey, C-Kay has made the perfect tracklist! But is it the perfect mix? Is it good? Is it worth a download? The answer is quite simple, and not as complicated as you might think it is: yes! Download this right now, and you will not be disappointed!

So many great anthems in one mix, it’s mindblowing. Too many great tracks were played by C-Kay, and to name one favourite track is quite difficult. But one track stands out from the rest, because I haven’t heard it for a long time, and the last time I heard it, it was used in a mix by another FW artist, Clarkey, and the sound got distorted throughout this record. It left an impact, and I completely forgot all about this. Until now. Without any distorted sounds I’ve finally heard the track the way we should: in high quality. ‘Fight’ is really an astonishing track. The quality is amazing, and the track itself is mind blowingly good. Should be played out at more events.

This mix is very tight. C-Kay has made a very excellent mix, and this shows us that artists should continue making Dubcore/Drumcore, or whatever you call it. I do miss it a lot.

One mighty fine mix. Download this underrated mix now, and make sure that you entertain your whole neighbourhood, put the volume on max!

The year has just started, and if you go onto Soundcloud you will find loads of yearmixes/Christmas mixes from 2015, but some have decided to not show what happened in 2015 music-wise, but to focus on the next year (which is the year we live in) and what you can expect in 2016. The first one who send me his mix was X-A7T, and seeing as I’m probably the most idiotic person on God’s given Earth, I wonder how we should prenounce his name? Anyway, the mix: it’s jam packed with awesome tunes, already one of the sexiest looking tracklists of 2016.

If you were looking for a slightly darker and edgier UK Hardcore mix, don’t look any further. X-A7T’s mix contains the finest tracks out there, a few classic anthems but also a few new ones, and let’s not forget a few of his own productions, which will be released on Venom Drive soon. Not only do I find it interesting to hear DJs own productions, but also that there are some DJs out there who still keep the Dubcore/Drumcore sound alive. There aren’t many, which is a pity, because I love it a lot!

So, if you were hoping for an extremely happy UK Hardcore mix, I have to disappoint you. This is much better!

01. X-A7T, Camo & Hazelnut – Club Shaker (VIP Mix)
02. Re-Force – Putcha Hands Up
03. X-A7T & Camo feat Nate Monoxide – Radio Radio
04. Re-Con & Klubfiller – Freak
05. Modulate & Obie – Some Hardcore Track
06. X-A7T & Hazelnut – Paper Chasin’
07. Haywire feat Rhythmics – Weekend
08. Chris E & MC Restless – Born To Be A Raver
09. Zekk – Intenso
10. X-A7T – Venom
11. Bobie – Drop Everything
12. Breeze & Modulate – Don’t Hold Back
13. Ganar & ViperStar – Turn It Up
14. Freezer – Glitter Rose
15. Pinnacle & Thumpa – Like A Bulldozer (The Speed Freak’s Attack The Dancefloor Remix)
16. DJ Noriken – Everybody’s Get Up (Hardcore Mix)
17. Pinnacle & Ben-Av-It – Buss It
18. NGHTMRE & Boombox Cartel – Aftershock (Jason Bouse Edit)
19. Modulate feat Marie Louise – Body Scream
20. X-A7T & Hazelnut – Alphawave (2016 Update)
21. Lukozade, Uplift & Chris E – Undefined (Pinnacle Remix)
22. Dannic feat Bright Lights – Dear Life (Jakka-B Remix)

The tracklist is unusual. Why? Because it’s filled with a lot of knowns but also a lot of unknowns. X-A7T decided not to fabricate a standard mix, but rather a much more interesting mix. The end result is a very dope and exciting mix to listen to.

The music is good. This mix has made me smile a lot, because it’s an unusually different mix compared to the thousands of others I’ve listened to, since I started reviewing. Loving the vibes, more of these mixes please.

Best/favourite track? ‘Turn It Up’ sounds awesome, ‘Body Scream’ makes my body scream, ‘Don’t Hold Back’ makes me go nuts, but the one that still makes me move the most has got to be ‘Buss It’. ‘Freak’ is a wicked track, but radio overkill has ruined its strength sadly.

X-A7T’s own tracks are highly entertaining. A fresh and exciting approach to UK Hardcore. Check his mix out right now, and give this a go. This won’t disappoint you at all. Fantastic mix, this has made my day, it really has!

A couple of weeks ago something appeared on my timeline on Facebook, and immediately I was intrigued by it. A mix so extraordinary, never done before. Now a mix is not something new, but what Reflux has done has never been made before. 1 DJ and 6 MCs on one mix! The first in UK Hardcore history, and not only that: 7 labels too! This mix is all about diversity, and you can hear it throughout the mix! Lethal Theory, Futureworld Records, Scarred Digital, Demo Sessions, The Future Of Hardcore, Mood Swings and Broken Records, all united in one mix! Hence the title of this mix, labels unite.

Reflux is the man behind the decks, playing the finest tunes, and the 6 MCs behind the microphones are MC B, Thunda, Jack, Fluid, Leggett and Vibrance. What they bring to the table is their own perspective on MCing, and throughout this mix you can hear that diversity is still important, and also being unique. There are copycats out there, but these 6 MCs have created their own style. Normally I would go on and on about the artists, but talking about 7 artists in a review is just too much. You do the right thing and Facebook/Google them.

Some new tracks and a few old tracks, that’s all you need to make an excellent mix. The mix not only has got UK Hardcore but also Drum & Bass and the underrated sound called Dubcore/Drumcore. I know there are people out there who dislike people naming it Dubcore/Drumcore, but who cares?

The tracklist is one you need to see. After hearing months of Christmas shite you will dig this. It’s gorgeous.

01. Matrix & Futurebound – Don’t Look Back (Instrumental)
02. Dextone – Don’t Need You
03. Modulate – Body Scream
04. Petruccio & Modulate feat Marie Louise – Escape
05. Dextone – Close Shave
06. Macks Wolf – You Ain’t Ready
07. Darren Styles feat Molly – Xfer
08. Darren Styles, Dougal & Gammer – Stay Young
09. Darren Styles & Chris Unknown – Down Like That
10. I See Monstas – Messiah (Chris Unknown & Re-Con Remix)
11. Wasted Penguinz & Vegas – Wait For You (Triplestar & Olly P Edit)
12. Darren Styles – Get This Place
13. Darren Styles & Re-Con feat Matthew Steeper – Rest Of Your Life (Macks Wolf ‘Domino’ Edit’)
14. Darren Styles – Flashlight (Michael Scout Remix)
15. Stonebank feat EMEL – Stronger
16. Mark Breeze – Gotta Get
17. Jekyll & Reflux – Burn The House
18. Jakka-B vs Reflux – Icarus
19. Reflux & Infexious – Get Crazy
20. Mob – E.T. (Mob, Infexious & Reflux Remix)
21. Major Lazer – Too (Ganar Hardcore DJ Tool)
22. Re-Con & Klubfiller – Freak
23. TJR – Bounce Generation (Re-Force Bootleg)
24. Chris Unknown – Get Down
25. Re-Con – Touch The Stars

The first thing you and I have noticed are the amount of Darren Styles tracks. Looks like Reflux is a fan boy (and who isn’t?). Turns out that MCs like MCing during Darren Styles tracks. A lot of DS tracks, which shows how good he is as a producer, hit after hit. But it’s not all about DS, it’s about Reflux and his MC team.

The MCs did their best, and the result is excellent! Loving the vibes, loving their dedication to make this mix the best one of 2015. Loving each and every MC who did their thing for this mix. It was tough for one MC seeing as she’s the only female MC, but Vibrance made sure that she delivered her lyrics as good as her male colleagues. It’s time for more female MCs, if they are as good as Vibrance, it’s time! Maybe the next mix could do the oppossite: 5 female and 1 male MC??

Who’s the best MC? They all are! Not going to pick out one MC, because they all deliver. Differently, but it makes this mix even better!

Ok, time to pick my favourite track. I have to say that I dig each and every track, but the one that took me by surprise has got to be ‘Burn The House’ by Reflux and Jekyll. Love this track a lot, it stands out in this mix.

Probably my last review of 2015, and to end with a mix as good as this one, who would have thought? Reflux and his MC team have delivered an awesome mix, and it’s a good way to end 2015. It’s a showcase of 2016 is going to offer for us UK Hardcore fans. The scene is alive and kicking!

It’s been a while since I last reviewed a UK Hardcore mix which has an MC in it. More than a month ago, according to my page. A month? That’s a long time for me, but thankfully Fluid MC teamed up with DJ Reflux, and delivered this awesome mix. I couldn’t review it earlier, seeing as I was abroad, but I’m back now, and it’s time for this mix to be reviewed.

This ain’t the first Reflux mix, nor is it the first Fluid MC mix I hear, so there’s no need for an introduction. Oh, you don’t know who these two are? Well, check the Facebook pages and find all the information you require. The most important thing is to know which labels these two badboys are signed to: Reflux is signed to Scarred Digital and Fluid MC is signed to Demo Sessions and The Future Of Hardcore. One uses his strength as a DJ to play the finest UK Hardcore tunes, and the other uses his strength as an MC to spit bars, and rhyhme throughout the mix. That’s all you need to know, and on that bombshell we shall show you the tracklist. 17 tracks in a 52 minute mix. The tracks Reflux selected are quite amazing, and I think you need to watch this tracklist, and be amazed.

01. Mark Breeze – Trying To Reach You
02. Tyl3R & Reynolds – Dive In
03. Tyl3R – Club Shit
04. Gammer feat Becci – Look Back
05. Krewella – We Are One (JTS & Jozzi Remix)
06. Hixxy & Re-Con – Super Human
07. Tiësto – Redlights (Klubfiller & Nuton Remix)
08. Sy & Unknown – Pictures Of You (Technikore Remix)
09. Dougal & Gammer – Guitar Hero vs Through The Darkness (Technikore Remix)
10. Sy & Technikore – Boom Chicka Wow Wow
11. Dougal & Gammer feat Hannah Faulkner – Knight In Shining Armour (Technikore Remix)
12. Code Black & Atmozfears – Accelerate (Stu Infinity Hardcore Mix)
13. Dimension vs Andi Subliminal – Bassline Maniacs
14. Reflux & Infexious – Get Crazy
15. Re-Con & Klubfiller – Halfway There
16. Klubfiller & Joey Riot – Riot In The Klub (Chris Unknown Remix)
17. Joey Riot – Everything You Need (Alex Prospect Remix)

A wicked looking tracklist, but after looking at it, I was wondering if this was really a mix made by Reflux, or was it secretly done by Technikore? So many Technikore tracks are in this mix, it could simply be that Reflux is a fan, a huge fan (and who isn’t?).

Throughout the mix Fluid MC (or is it MC Fluid? I can’t tell, seeing as the title of the mix his name is written as Fluid MC, but on the picture it’s MC Fluid) does his thing, and he does it well. He rhyhmes when it’s acceptable, and he keeps quiet when he should be quiet. A very talented MC, even though it’s still hard to understand him (too many MCs talk too fast for my ears and brain). But his rhyhmes sound smooth and slick, so he gets the credits he deserves.

Reflux picked quite a few amazing tracks, and the result is a wicked mix, but I have to be completely honest, one track should not have been made at all! Sy & Technikore’s ‘Boom Chicka Wow Wow’. What an annoying track. Is this seriously a UK Hardcore track? Or is it simply a joke? Compare this track to the others in this mix, and you can’t help and wonder if it was all a joke. Not my cup of tea, too damn annoying lol.

Favourite track? ‘Super Human’ is extremely catchy, ‘Look Back’ is also one you already know how to sing along to, ‘Riot In The Klub’ is just banging… too many to choose from.

A good first volume. Reflux and Fluid MC should do more mixes together, because it works extremely well! A proper UK Hardcore mix.
