DROKZ IS BACK! Yes, I’ve written it down in capital letters to make sure everyone read it! We’ve got a new promo mix by the legend himself, the man who’s voice goes through our veins. Drokz is the leading figure in the Terror industry, and with this latest mix he showcases his love, dedication and passion for it. This man is the example of how to be great in a small yet vibrant scene. Yes, it’s not really huge as Hardcore is in general, but it’s got a cult following. Those who listen to it, have embraced it with both arms, and are passionate about it. Like Beliebers they are passionate: some even have his name tattooed on their body. How’s that for dedication?

This year he will be playing at Masters Of Hardcore – The Skull Dynasty. And ofcourse the bloody event is sold out: who doesn’t want to go to the biggest Hardcore event in the world, with the most precious history attached to it? Only the die-hard mofos go to it. And you know what? The terror fanatics have got their own area called ‘Dragons Of Doom’. In it you can find Akira (who’s Drokz’s brother in arms), The Destroyer, Noisekick, Striker, The Vizitor (who has the same barber as Drokz), Kurwastyle Project (???), Vague Entity and Mike Redman. In this area no Beliebers can be found, only those who have got pure acid running through their veins and who have a normal pulse of 200 bpm at least.

To promote the event and this area, Drokz made a very short promo mix. Already listened to around 500 times in 2 hours! See, there’s a following, and when they find a mix, they won’t let go. Like myself, I’ve listened to this already 20 times. I love Drokz, I really do. No tattoo though. I’m not that hard.

Check out the tracklist.

01. Drokz – Rock 2017
02. Kurwastyle Project feat Furere Lycanthrope – Don’t Fuck With The Chuck!
03. The Destroyer & ADHD XXL feat Drokz – We Are Harder
04. Striker & D-ohmicyd – Hellzone Anthem
05. Vague Entity – Monstrosity
06. The Vizitor – Houd Je Muil
07. Noisekick & Sjammienators – Zolang Het Maar Stampt
08. Akira & Lenny Dee – Hardcore Neko

8 amazing tracks. Especially ‘Houd Je Muil’. Tiny and Lau, if you don’t know them, you ain’t Dutch. They made history many years ago by becoming a sensation in the Netherlands, and now their voices are in a Terror track. And what a good combination this turned out to be!

I’m loving this mix, like many others already have. A short but very interesting mix. I wish I could go to MOH this year, because the line-up in general looks amazing, but the main reason would be my Terror fix. I need more Terror pounding my brain.

This is seriously an amazing mix, loved it from the first to the last second. The best track? By ‘The Vizitor’. Listen to it and you will understand why. The darkness in which this track is covered is really amazing.

Drokz’s latest mix is as good as all the others you can find on his Soundcloud page. I would urge you to follow this man on every social media page imaginable. This man deserves a statue, and his own event. A yearly event, with 12 hours of only Drokz. Drokz and friends? Bollocks, just Drokz.

The usual score for the Godfather of Terror!

And one extra sentence for the Dutch only: van deze mix krijg ik een zwerende eikel, zo goed is hij! Punt.

Where will you be on the 21st of January 2017? If you have got plans, skip them and go to Vienna instead. Why? Well, Masters Of Hardcore is hosting an event there called ‘The Austrian Awakening’, and the line-up is absolutely insane: Angerfist, Miss K8, Destructive Tendencies, Tha Playah, Korsakoff, Mad Dog, Noize Suppressor, Day-Mar, Dyprax, Re-Style, Bodyshock, Tears Of Fury, Unexist, Meltdown, and hosted by MC Tha Watcher. Now that’s a seriously insane line-up, isn’t it? So let me ask you again, where will you be on the 21st of January?

Tears Of Fury were the first to upload a promo mix for this event, and it’s a big one. Even though I have never heard of Tears Of Fury before, I’m a follower from now on. The mix might be short, but you get the impression of what you will experience on the 21st. The mix packed with awesome tunes, slightly rougher than the usual stuff you hear, and that’s always a bonus. No soft stuff, only raw to the core- Hardcore. And also a few of Tears Of Fury’s own productions, so I get the chance to hear what he’s capable of as a producer.

01. Radio Killah – Gateway To The Peace
02. Tears Of Fury – Painkillah
03. N-Vitral – Ghettocore (DJ Mad Dog Remix)
04. N-Vitral – Bass Face (Tha Playah Remix)
05. Unexist feat The Void – Blaze It Up
06. Tears Of Fury – My Fury
07. DJ AniMe – Still Here
08. Crosfiyah – Gunfight
09. I:Gor – Straight Outta Kielce
10. Andy The Core & Sei2ure – Touch It
11. Tears Of Fury – Fayah

The tracklist is short, but you get the gist: this party will be mad, truly mad. Masters Of Hardcore are known for throwing excellent parties all over the world, and with them touching down in Austria they will demolish speakers, eardrums and more. I hope the people in Austria are ready for the ultimate Hardcore invasion!

This should persuade people. Sadly I won’t be able to go, but I wish I could. The line-up is absolutely sickening, this is pure Hardcore heaven, isn’t it? And Tears Of Fury’s mix is one that you could listen to on your way to the party. You’ve got only a few days left until the party/madness starts, so hurry up and get tickets.

Liking this mix a lot. Already bored of the Christmas stuff on the radio, I wanted to hear rougher and tougher music, and I found it. This beauty will be on repeat, I tell you. And Tears Of Fury has found yet another fan: me!

Best track? All of them!!!!!

You must be aware that the majority of reviews are mixes made by Angerfist (or his albums). I’m a fan, and as we would say in the Netherlands, ik schuif het niet onder stoelen of banken. If you don’t know what that means, don’t worry, it’s not something you might be interested in. What you might be interested in, is this mix I found only this morning. A new mix by the mighty Angerfist for TRAX, whatever that might be? An online magazine, a party organiser? If you speak and are able to read French, there’s a link underneath the mix on Soundcloud which takes you to the website, which is completely in French, and my French ain’t that good: oui, bonjour and baguette, that’s the only thing I know. What I’m guessing is that this website is also showcasing their love for Angerfist. Correct me if I’m wrong….

Maybe he made this mix to showcase his level of awesomeness? Maybe he made this mix because recently he reached a milestone on Facebook: a million fans! No other Hardcore DJ has ever achieved that. He’s Hardcore to the bone, literally. Or maybe he’s just promoting himself via this website? Again, my French is poor, but hopefully you are billingual and understand what’s written on the page.

The only thing I know is that Angerfist is a hero. A legend. A true Hardcore soldier. And with this mix he shows us yet again why he’s the best, and why he reached a million fans. With this tracklist he already reached 30k+ listens. Why not, it’s bloody Angerfist who mixed this monster mix!

01. N-Vitral & Angerfist – Fist In Your Face
02. Angerfist feat MC Nolz – Raise & Revolt
03. Noize Suppressor & Angerfist – Back With The Hard Street Shit
04. Miss K8 & Angerfist – Bogotá
05. Angerfist & Radical Redemption – Repercussion
06. Angerfist – Bad Attitude
07. Tha Playah & Angerfist feat MC Jeff – Just Like Me
08. Angerfist – Knock Knock
09. Angerfist & Radical Redemption – Order Of Hostility
10. Angerfist & Crossfiyah – Blast At You
11. Angerfist – Full Gentle Racket
12. Angerfist & Negative A – Wake Up Fucked Up

The mix is as good as you can imagine it. Every mix he has ever made is always a blessing. Maybe not his very first studio mix ever, but the ones you can find online always have been a blessing to our ears. They might be rough and raw, but that’s just the way we like it.

We all know these tracks, we all have embraced them as our ‘national anthems’, us, the ravers. Angerfist always seems to make tunes that touch your mind, body and soul like no other artist does. They might come close, but production wise there’s no one as good as him.

The tracks that took my breath away was actually the opening track. This opening is just the way I like it! A nice build up, darkness covering it.. and yet another track about fists. Maybe one day Angerfist will make a track about fisting itself?!

All jokes aside, this is yet another monster mix. No dull moment, carefully mixed, and exactly what we were searching for to get us through this boring weekend. You don’t need another mix, just play this one over and over again, and you can, because it’s downloadable!

Share the love, and congratulate the master of Hardcore, for reaching such a milestone! Congratulations Angerfist!

The next 3 names I’m writing down do not need an introduction: Masters Of Hardcore, DJ Promo and DJ Dana (Lady Dana for those who know her from the 90s). Last year Promo and Dana did a set together at Masters Of Hardcore – 20 Years Of Rebellion, and their set I’ve only found this morning. A set you all probably heard before, seeing as it has reached 13.6k+ listens. Sadly no download, but you can simply press play over and over again, and you will be a happier person after you’ve listened to this set (if you haven’t already).

They were asked to play at the Classics area, so what can you expect? A lot of raw and rough tracks from the end of the 90s to the early 00s. And seeing as they’ve been in the scene for quite a while, they know which tunes to select, to get the crowd going. And also, seeing as this is a live recording, you can hear the crowd loose themselves completely.

The tracklist was kindly provided by Hansolo, he always uploads tracklists, and for that I would like to say thank you.

01. Promo & DJ X-Ess – Vicious Circle
02. E-Man – Bass Machine
03. Placid K – Stealin’ Beats
04. Promo – I Come Correct
05. Endymion – Payback
06. DJ Niel – The Cave
07. EBE Company – Sub Seven (Catscan Remix)
08. Promo – The Bad Guy
09. The Reactor & Raoul meets Impulse Factory – Hardcore Will Never Die
10. The Masochist – Killing Scum
11. Tschabos – Gib Mir Die Bass (Noch Korrekter!!)
12. DJ Nosferatu – Fuck The Prejudice
13. Tommyknocker – Demolition
14. G-Town Madness & The Viper – Here It Comes
15. DJ Adrien – No Competition
16. Promo & Catscan – Toch Welleuk
17. DJ Jappo & Lancinhouse – EXLXAXL (Neophyte & Evil Activities Remix)
18. Project Omega – Prednison Attack
19. DJ Lancinhouse & The Stunned Guys – Atmosfera
20. Promo – Phreak Ya Speaka (N-Vitral Re-Phreak)
21. Lady Dana – Ladies First

Look at these tracks! They take me back to those wonderful days! A lot of Promo tracks in here, would have been nicer if Dana added more of her own tracks in here, she made a couple too (not as many as Promo did, he’s a producing machine!).

The liveset is good! Loving the vibes it generates. Loving the records selected by Dana and Promo. And there are some seriously insane tracks in here, tracks I haven’t heard for a while: ‘No Competition’, ‘Demolition’, ‘The Cave’, ‘Fuck The Prejudice’. Boy, I do miss this sound a lot. Not saying that the present day Hardcore is bad, but it doesn’t compete with the late 90s/early 00s stuff. Fact.

Promo and Dana have made a wicked set, and the result of it can be heard on Soundcloud. I would urge you to listen to this mix, and let it take you to the next dimension. It made me loose my mind, and rave in the living room like never before. Come on, this set has got ‘No Competition’ in it! Can you sit still when you hear that record?
