Insanity Invites Omkara On Toxic Sickness / May 2018

I can’t even remember when the last time was when I reviewed an Omkara (cq. Techichi) mix. It’s been a few years now. And I had to delete some mixes from my website, seeing as they were already taken off the internet. But his album, surely I still have that on my blog? Nope. Don’t know why, or where it went to, but it’s gone. So let me introduce him to the world, if you don’t know who he is: he’s a very interesting Hardcore DJ/producer, who’s album was praised by yours truly. And as he puts it on his own Facebook fanpage, he’s a post-apocalyptic horror themed Uptempo Hardcore & Terror music artist. And he’s 666% Hellcore. Whatever that might be lol.

I discovered him many years ago via Partyflock, when I noticed a video for his album, Dreamonic Vamperor. I was immediately grabbed by his dedication to be unique, and refreshing. He made sure that you wouldn’t forget him, or his music. And after some debate with his inner demon, he decided to ditch the Techichi from his artist name, and to focus on a different sound. Omkara still likes his music to be rough and raw, and his latest mix contains only the fastest and sickest tunes out there. He was invited for Insanity, on Toxic Sickness. And what he has done, is compose an hour long mix with 45 records, the sickest you can imagine.

But the records are oh so good. If this mix doesn’t wake you up and makes you want to dance/hakkuh, nothing will. This is fierce, without a shadow of a doubt.

That’s one hard looking tracklist, and if you have already pressed the play-logo on Soundcloud, you know that Omkara doesn’t muck about. He dives straight into the madness, and I can picture him going absolutely insane behind the decks, covered in blood and his trademark weird outfit. But it’s Omkara, and we love him for it. As said, he’s devilish. He’s maybe the son of Satan himself.

Anyway, let’s talk about the mix. An hour long, and 45 records crammed in. There’s no time to sit still and embrace the world around you: Omkara takes us on a journey that starts off lightely, and ends with the roughest, fastest, and sickest tunes out there. And it seems that people like it: within a day already reached 1089 plays. That’s a lot, judging the amount of music being uploaded on a daily basis on Soundcloud. Can you disagree? Who doesn’t want to hear Omkara?

I can’t pick out any weaknesses or any flaws. He’s determined to showcase his strength as a DJ, and he does it extremely well. Even from the first time I heard his name, I knew he was going to be special. And he still remains a highly underrated artist. With this mix he shows that he’s worth it, and I think I should stop typing, and let you enjoy this filthy yet highly erotic mix (well, it’s kinda sexy, isn’t it?).

A wicked mix by the Hellcore king himself!

DJ Distortion (RTC) Toxicator Warm Up Mix (2017)

Sometimes you just want to hear music so rough and raw, you couldn’t care less about the world around you. Just pounding records coming at you so fast, you wouldn’t be able to comprehend what just happened. I found such a mix by Distortion, the main man behind the famous Rotterdam Terror Corps. Known for their approach to Hardcore, he has made this mix for this upcoming event called Toxicator, which is held tomorrow in Mannheim, Germany. And the line-up is really good, you’ve got RTC, Neophyte, Peacock in Concert, Psyko Punkz, Andy The Core, AniMe, Coone, Frequencerz, Quitara, and many more. If you are German and live near Mannheim, you know where you are going to tomorrow?

To get everyone excited for this, Distortion recorded this mix, and it contains so many wicked anthems. Let me warn you: if you are in a bit of a Trancy mood or fancy something nice and mellow, you need to get the f**k out of here. I’ve warned you. This mix contains so many hard and rough Hardcore Gabber anthems, your brain will go mental. Mine went completely insane yesterday at work (I secretly listen to music to get me work even harder). I was actually moving my feet like a Gabber from the 90s, raving whilst staying professional. I must have looked like a complete tit.

Anyway, the tracklist. A beauty. Check it out!

tracklist TCD

01. DJ Paul Elstak – Helium
02. Angerfist & Mad Dog – From The Ashes
03. RTC vs Wishmaster – I’m Not The One
04. Furyan & Restrained – The Strong Survive
05. Lady Dammage & System Overload – Bite The Bullet
06. Partyraiser & Repix – Ode To The Godfather
07. Cryogenic – Victimized
09. Cryogenic – Hate
10. SRB & RTC feat Mike Redman – Bring Back The Terror
11. SRB vs RTC – Harder Than A Hooligan
12. Dione – Take It Away (SRB Refix)
13. SRB – Shit Is Hard
14. Tieum & Andy The Core – Bastards
15. SRB & Distortion – Gas Op Die Krukas!
16. Partyraiser & F.Noize – We Pep You Up!
17. Mr. Ivex – Ameno
18. Spitnoise – Just Like That
19. SRB – I Need Your Terror

Didn’t I warn you? This mix came as a shock, even to me. I pressed play for the first time and was awoken by the lovely Paul Elstak anthem ‘Helium’, but after that Distortion made sure our ears would be completely messed up.

What I can tell is that he really liked SRB. So many anthems by him. But he’s not the only one coming at us strong. It’s still a very organised mix, and he builds up slowely (even though the beats and basses are already very high from the start). If you are going tomorrow to Toxicator, you can expect this and a lot more. F**king fast music, coming at you. He’s been in the scene for donkey’s years, so he knows how to please the listeners/fans.

Which record is the best? Well, I’ve got to give credit to Partyraiser and Repix for their dedication record to the mighty Paul Elstak. The bass in this is unbelievable. Smashing the biggest Paul records into this and putting such a foul beat underneath it, has really worked well.

Is there anything wrong with this mix? Not that I can tell.

I can’t go to Toxicator, got to stay at home this weekend. But no worries, I will press play over and over again. Have fun this weekend! You will have a great weekend!

Snakepit 2017 | Megamix By Deadly Guns

On the 9th of December there’s only one place to be at, which is Snakepit. It will be held at the Klokgebouw in Eindhoven on the 9th, so you can see this as an early Christmas present for yourself and whoever is going. With a killer (and insane) line-up this is going to be a very good event. Before I name the artists I want you to know that this event is all about high speed Hardcore, no slow happy stuff, but only the roughest and toughest Hardcore, presented to you by acts such as Partyraiser, Destructive Tendencies, Dr. Peacock, F.Noize, Unexist, Andy the Core, D-Fence, Deadly Guns, Spitnoise, Drokz, Akira, The Speed Freak, The Destroyer, Angernoizer, Negative A, Lady Dammage, Cyclon, Hyrule War, Tha Watcher, and the MC is NO-ID. How’s that for a line-up?

The fans of the rougher Hardcore went absolutely insane once shown the line-up. According to Facebook at least 3.9 thousand are going, and 11 thousand are interested. This will be an event you definately need to visit if you are near Eindhoven (or planning on going there). To get everyone excited, Deadly Guns made a promo mix for the evnt, to give you a taster of what you can expect throughout the night. According to Soundcloud, this mix is composed because people suggested it, and Deadly Guns mixed them all together. Don’t know where he asked for suggestions, but whoever came up with these records, you should give yourself credit: the mix is really worth listening to at least once.

tracklist TCD

01. Deadly Guns – Snakepit Intro
02. Kasparov & System Shock & Revolver feat Zwaargewicht – Poeder In Je Neusgat
03. Deadly Guns & Rebelion feat Sovereign King – Power Of Truth
04. Lady Dammage – Fuck It
05. Deadly Guns feat Livid – The Hunt
06. Hatred & Unproven & MBK – Betrayal
07. System Overload – Like This
08. Deadly Guns feat Tha Watcher – Law Enforcers
09. F.Noize – Cold As Ice
10. Lady Dammage – Bitch I Can
11. Deadly Guns & Remzcore – Fucked Up Nation
12. NSD – Haha F#cker
13. Neroz – Pinsir (Hatred’s Uptempo Edit)
14. Repix – Real Criminals
15. F.Noize vs Crime Scene – Ready For Destruction
16. Angernoizer feat NSD – Execute

See, I told you that this mix isn’t for the faintest of hearts, and the majority of the people who have pressed play might have thought ‘wtf is this’? Well, that’s your fault, only the hardest motherf*ckers can listen to this. And if you are really hard and tough, you can visit Snakepit on the 9th of December. Can you handle the BPMs?

Deadly Guns have made a truly remarkable promo/megamix for Snakepit. The people who already purchased tickets will be happy to hear this mix, this will give them a boost, and they are currently hoping that December comes soon. For those who haven’t purchased anything, there’s still time. But hurry up, maybe 50% of those 11 thousand people get tickets, and then you are too bloody late.

After a nice and relaxing Trance mix earlier this morning this was next. And bloody hell, this has woken me up even more. So many great records in here, but the one that did the most to me was ‘Poeder In Je Neusgat’. So catchy when it comes to the lyrics, and seeing as I’m Dutch, these lyrics won’t leave my head for at least 2 hours.

If this doesn’t make you want to browse the internet, find the location where you can purchase tickets, nothing will.

Hard Island Log 020 – Brutale (2017)

This year in Croatia there’s an event you don’t want to miss. Hard Island. I think I wrote about it a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, it’s an event you seriously don’t want to miss. Taking place between the 3rd and 6th of July, and the line-up is seriously sickening (in a good way): Angerfist, Atmozfears, Coone, Minus Militia, Noisecontrollers, Partyraiser, Psyko Punkz, The Sickest Squad and more. One act which will perform there is Brutale, and as the name states, this is brutal music, not for the weakest people, only for the die-hard Hardcore lovers.

To get everyone in the mood they’ve uploaded several mixes onto Soundcloud, and one of them has been listened to by yours truly. Brutale’s promo mix is seriously hard, Italy’s finest DJs all together on one stage, who doesn’t want to hear that? You can catch them at Hard Island, but for now you’ve got this promo mix, which will excite you to a level never reached before. The mix is only 30 minutes long, but it’s one violent record after another, and I’m liking it! They do what only they can do best: deliver a seriously hard set.

Half an hour long, and 11 records. What can you expect? Well, brutal music coming through your speakers!

01. Andy The Core – Kill Somebody
02. The Anunnaki feat MC Braincase – #SickSociety
03. Underground Vandalz – Music Panic Baseball Bat
04. The Sickest Squad – Revolution (Mecanno Twins Remix)
05. Bit Reactors feat Vale Blake – Open Your Eyes
06. Brutale & Rob Gee – No Compromise
07. The Sickest Squad – Zombie
08. Andy The Core – Brutal Method
09. Meccano Twins – No God (Mutilate Australia Anthem)
10. Brutale – Brutale
11. Andy The Core – F#cktempo

A hard mix, that’s for sure. This is not soft core music, this is Brutal Hardcore, or as we know it from now on as Brutalcore. It does take Hardcore to the next level, the level between Hardcore and Terror.

Brutale’s mix is savage. A nice and diverse mix, with a few wicked anthems, like ‘Brutale’. It makes me want to scream out ‘BRUTALE’ so damn loud, but I reckon it’s not appropriate at the moment (the Manchester concert for those affected by the Terror attacks is happening now). I will scream it out once the concert is over, ok?

I do like Brutale, and their approach to the already excisting Hardcore scene. Their unique blend and experience has led up to them creating this group, and if you are liking their rawness, check them out at Hard Island. It’s one event I wish I could go to, but sadly I can’t.

Two records I don’t like. ‘Zombie’ and ‘No Compromise’. But the other 9 are brutal. ‘#SickSociety’ is savage, but ‘Music Panic Baseball Bat’ (credits for creating the weirdest title ever!) is just what I’m digging the most.

Brutale, you are brutal. Keep the Hardcore from Italy kicking, even in Croatia!

If you want tickets, I don’t know if there are any left, but that’s up to you to find out! Go to www.hardisland.com NOW!

Harmony of Hardcore 2017 | Warmin’ Uptempo Mix – MindPumper

This weekend it’s happening, an event only for those who embrace Hardcore fully. Harmony Of Hardcore takes place in Erp/Veghel, and what can you expect? Hardcore, Industrial Hardcore, Darkcore, Terror and Oldskool (and more). If you look at the line-up, it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before! A full on Hardcore line-up, no mucking about, no nonsense. I actually got goosebumps when I looked at who is performing. And to get everyone excited for this event there’s a mix on Soundcloud by MindPumper, focussed on the Uptempo Hardcore, which will be played out loud at Harmony Of Hardcore.

This is MindPumper’s favourite Hardcore festival of the year, and because of that he made a nice uptempo mix, dedicated to those Hardcore fans who will dance throughout the weekend at HoH. He picked records from artists who are performing there, so you know what you can expect! Not unknown artists or records, these are dancefloor smashers. And amongst thousands this weekend will be extremely ace, and you will have a weekend like no other.

MindPumper’s selection is raw and rough, not your standard Hardcore tunes were selected. The beats and basses are quicker and slightly rougher, hence the name ‘Uptempo Hardcore’. This is not for those who can not handle beats above 120bpm. If you think Hardcore is too fast, please leave my blog right now. I won’t talk to anyone who doesn’t like Hardcore…. and literally every style above 120bpm. Shame on you.

Let’s see the records MindPumper has selected.

01. N-Vitral – Don’t Fuck With The Squad
02. Partyraiser & Bulletproof – Nothing’s Over
03. Destructive Tendencies – I’ll Let You Have Your Day (Lady Dammage Remix)
04. Destructive Tendencies & Partyraiser – Sound Becomes One
05. Spitnoise – 200 BPM Mash-up
06. Radical Redemption – Brutal Mad Man (Hatred Edit)
07. System Overload vs Insane S – Break Me Down
08. Hatred vs Unproven vs NSD – I Smoke
09. Sjammienators & Ysiss – Boogie Woogie
10. Vandal!sm – Ketamine
11. D-Fence & Angernoizer – Afbreken
12. System Overload vs Drokz – Click Bang
13. Anhatema – Beat Crash
14. Dave Dope – Deadly Sins (Rawmachine & Convict Remix)
15. MBK – Time 2 Crunch
16. Re-Fuzz – Theatralic
17. System Overload vs Wars Industry – Raggabomb (Chaotic Hostility Remix)
18. NSD – Al Doilea E. Abstraction
19. Spitnoise & Death Shock – Brahh (NSD Remix)
20. DRS vs FRX – Contact
21. Death Shock & Spitnoise – Pop That Pussy
22. eDUB vs MBK – Fuck You In The Methlab
23. LunaKorpz – Fck On Cocaine

Damn. this is hard. Harder than hell, I imagine. I reckon even the Devil doesn’t worship Hardcore as fast and rough as this!

I remember the days when I went out and went to the rougher areas, I could only manage half an hour, otherwise my brain would melt, and my feet would detach from my body. It seems that the majority of Hardcore fans have embraced the faster style, and I’m liking it too a lot. Wouldn’t be able to manage hours of it at an event such as HoH, but I still listen to it here at home, or whilst driving to work. Speeding tickets are obviously the result, but I don’t care.

MindPumper’s mix is a very nice mix. Especially when you are sorting out your wardrobe, choosing what to wear today for HoH. Download this badboy right now, and get ready. Put the speakers on maximum, and let the beats, basses and melodies penetrate your skull so extremely hard, your brain will be pulp after.

It was hard to pick one favourite, but the one I liked a lot is ‘Ketamine’.

MindPumper and everyone going to HoH, have fun! And as we Dutch would say: breek de tent af! Breek het af!
